Ingredients
Dough
- 1 Cup plus 2 Tablespoons Warm Water
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Instant Yeast
- 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1-3/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 3 Cups Bread Flour
Garlic Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- In a small bowl, warm water to 110-115 degrees F
- Add sugar and yeast to warm water. Stir gently to combine and allow to proof. If yeast does not proof, try again
- In the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, combine proofed yeast and the remaining ingredients for the dough except for the flour
- On low speed, gradually add flour. Increase speed to medium and knead dough for 7 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Remove dough to a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a damp towel. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours
- Divide dough into 12 portions. Roll each piece of dough into a 7-inch log. Place dough logs on a nonstick baking mat or parchment-lined baking sheets, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden brown
- Meanwhile, combine butter, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl
- Remove the breadsticks from the oven and immediately brush with butter mixture. Serve warm
