Apple Butter Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 Container Apple Butter
  • 6-7 Large Croissants, split
  • 8 Large Eggs
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Cold Butter

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Generously spread apple butter over the croissant bottoms; replace the tops. 
  • Cut each croissant into 3 pieces and place them into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.
  • Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. 
  • Pour over croissants and let stand for at least 30 minutes.
  • Combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt in a small bowl. 
  • Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle over the top.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 50 to 60 minutes. 
  • Serve warm and refrigerate leftovers.
